Work Friends
OK, here's the situation....
I was placed as 'acting supervisor' for 2 days while my supervisors are on training...sounds easy enough right?
NO!
The other 'actor' is a friend of mine, well not a friend, a 'work' friend. Let me differentiate for you. A friend (can also be someone you work with) is someone you talk to when you're not at work. A work friend is someone you speak to at work, but do not exchange phone numbers or EVER see each other outside of the office. That being said... This 'work friend' of mine (from hereon in to be referred to as w/f) is in charge of a group of people and I'm in charge of a group of people. Two groups that do different tasks.
So w/f has been replying to all inquiries and acting like a one man show (i can say this b/c w/f has a beard and moustache) Fine AGAIN. I'm not interested in the praise or excitement of being supervisor, nor am I interested in talking down to people or exerting my EVIL powers to show the world what it means when I'm in charge.
However, a big HOWEVER, is that I am however interested in doing the job, see what it takes, learn the ropes, increase my knowledge and ability. I may as well just have called in sick (like I had planned before I had been asked, if you're reading this S. sorry :oP ).
I find overbearing people EXTREMELY obnoxious, maybe because deep down inside I myself am an overbearing bitch but I've taught myself to try to tame the 'beast' and resent the others when they can so nonchalantly just let it loose.
To boot, we're w/f's so I don't want to confront her and tell her to back the fuck off, I want to be nice and allow her to do what she wants, while letting me do what I'm supposed to be doing (which btw is NOT sitting at my desk looking cute...)
So tomorrow, i will answer emails and phone calls before w/f gets a chance to, i will be on the ball, i will be the big bitch....
or I'll call in sick...whatev
